Privacy Policy
Shoppies is a personal organizer for products you're thinking about buying. We built it to be private by default: your collection lives on your own devices, not on our servers.
What stays on your device
The products you save, your collections, your notes, and any photo you add for the try-on feature are stored locally on your device. We do not have a server that holds your library.
Sync across your devices
If you use Shoppies on more than one device, your library syncs through your own private iCloud account using Apple's iCloud/CloudKit. That data sits in your iCloud, governed by Apple's privacy policy — we cannot read it.
The "Try On" feature
The photo you choose for try-on stays on your device. When — and only when — you tap to generate a try-on image, that photo and the product image(s) are sent to Google's Gemini image API to create the result, which is returned to you. We do not store these images on our servers. Google's handling of that request is governed by Google's API terms. If you never run a try-on, no photo ever leaves your device.
Browser capture
Our optional browser extension reads the page you're viewing (title, price, images, links) so it can save that product to Shoppies when you ask it to. It only acts when you click to capture, and the captured data goes straight into your local library.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links to retailers are affiliate links — if you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. See our Affiliate Disclosure. Following an affiliate link takes you to the retailer, whose own privacy policy then applies.
Analytics & advertising
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use third-party advertising trackers in the app. If we add basic, privacy-respecting usage analytics in the future, we will update this policy first.
Your control & deletion
You can delete any item, collection, or your try-on photo at any time inside the app. Removing the app and clearing its iCloud data removes your library. To ask a question about your data, email ops@heroframevfx.com.
Children
Shoppies is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
